Malas Noticias Para Quienes Duermen Menos de 6 Horas por las Noches

Las personas que duermen menos de seis horas por noche son más propensas a tener una pulgada extra alrededor de su cintura, de acuerdo con una nueva investigación.

Un estudio encuestó a 1.615 adultos y concluyó que los que dormían menos fueron propensos a acumular grasa abdominal que los que consiguieron entre siete a nueve horas de sueño.

La investigadora principal, la Dra. Laura Hardie, de la Universidad de Leeds, dijo:

“Encontramos que los adultos que dormían menos tenían más probabilidades de tener sobrepeso u obesidad, nuestros hallazgos destacan la importancia de dormir lo suficiente.

La cantidad de sueño que necesitamos difiere entre cada persona, pero el consenso actual es que siete a nueve horas es lo mejor para la mayoría de los adultos.”

Investigaciones anteriores sobre el tema habían sugerido que dormir poco también contribuye al deseo de comer comida chatarra.
